Full Description
September 2024. Wendling Beck and Fransham Aerial Investigation and Mapping (AIM) Project.
The earthworks of a series if possible medieval to post medieval field boundaries are visible on aerial photographs taken in 1946 (S1-S2). The features are presumed to have been levelled as they are not visible on the relatively recent (2017) visualised lidar data (S3). The features may relate to former medieval to post medieval field boundaries or boundaries associated with settlement. It is also possible that some of the features could relate to post medieval to modern drainage. The features are also not recorded on the readily accessible historic maps such as S4-S5.
J. Powell (Norfolk Historic Environment Service), 16 September 2024.
