Map

October 2024. Wendling Beck and Fransham Aerial Investigation and Mapping (AIM) Project.
The earthworks (since levelled) of a possible rectilinear enclosure and possible boundary banks, of an unknown but potentially medieval to post medieval date, are visible on aerial photographs taken in 1946 (S1). The area has since been developed into a series of modern ponds (visible on S2-S4), presumably levelling any surviving earthworks. Post medieval to modern drainage features are also visible across the area on S1. The possibility that some of the features may be natural in origin or associated with the post medieval to modern drainage, cannot be ruled out.
