Full Description
March 2025. Wendling Beck and Fransham Aerial Investigation and Mapping (AIM) Project.
What appear to be two short, parallel, lengths of bank, perhaps the remains of post medieval field boundaries or drains, are visible as low earthworks on visualised lidar data (S1). The features are very faint and poorly defined. At their east end they meet the more prominent earthwork of a perpendicular field boundary, which is itself depicted on the 19th-century Enclosure Map (S2) (and not included in this record). This suggests that the features are also of relatively late date. As the lidar survey was flown relatively recently (2017) it is likely that any earthworks still survive.
