Summary

A group of enclosures, visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs, probably relate to medieval to post medieval settlement and associated agricultural activity. They lie on the outskirts of Wendling village, and are similar to other enclosures, also visible as cropmarks, recorded approximately 215m to the east (NHER 67808). Medieval and post medieval finds have been recovered from the area (NHER 35105).

A group of enclosures, visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs (S1), probably relate to medieval to post medieval settlement and associated agricultural activity. They lie on the outskirts of Wendling village, and are similar to other enclosures, also visible as cropmarks, recorded approximately 215m to the east (NHER 67808). Medieval and post medieval finds have been recovered from the area (NHER 35105). Former field boundaries depicted on historical maps, such as the Ordnance Survey 1st edition 6 inch map (S2), which are also visible as cropmarks in the same field and on the same source have not been included in the mapping and record for the site.
