Summary

A watching brief maintained during the erection of a new shelter at this site in 2014 recorded nothing of archaeological interest. It should though be noted that the groundworks were relatively shallow and did not reach the base of the topsoil. Finds were limited to three small Roman tile fragments. Post-holes dug for a new interpretation panel in 2015 also only disturbed this topsoil layer.
