Summary

A watching brief maintained during the installation of a new sewer pipeline in 2013 recorded a single possible pit at this location. This feature was undated, although brick fragments were noted within its fill, suggesting it was unlikely to be of great antiquity.

Monitoring of groundworks associated with installation of new sewer pipeline (Field K).
At this location the pipe trench was excavated from ground level, with no working easement stripped. A single possible pit was noted during this work, the fill of which contained brick fragments (not recovered).
