Summary

Probable post medieval field boundaries are visible as low earthworks on visualised lidar data, from a survey flown in 2017. As the lidar survey was flown relatively recently, it is likely that the earthworks still survive.

Map

September 2025. Wendling Beck and Fransham Aerial Investigation and Mapping (AIM) Project.
Probable post medieval field boundaries are visible as low earthworks on visualised lidar data (S1), from a survey flown in 2017. They appear to connect to additional boundaries, also visible as low earthworks on the lidar visualisations, which are depicted on the Tithe Map (S2) and as a consequence have not been mapped by the project. As the lidar survey was flown relatively recently, it is likely that the earthworks still survive, although they may be so low as to be effectively imperceptible at ground level.
