Map

August 2024. Trial Trenching.
Evaluation of proposed development site.
The two trenches excavated revealed nothing of archaeological interest.
A large natural hollow (the full extent of which couldn't be determined) was recorded in the northernmost trench. This was cut by a large pit containing dumped modern waste. In this trench the subsoil was compacted, heavily disturbed and overlain by the modern made ground deposits.
No finds were recovered.
See report (S1) for further details.
