Map

February 2016. Geophysical Survey.
Magnetometer survey of site on proposed route of Poringland to Whitlingham Rising Main pipeline (Field 13).
This survey revealed little of potential archaeological interest, the only response of note being an east-to-west aligned linear anomaly that corresponds with a former field boundary shown on the Framingham Pigot tithe map (S1).
Various dipolar responses were probably caused by ferrous material on or close to the surface, most likely modern debris.
Information from draft report. Final version awaited.
