Map

February 2016. Geophysical Survey.
Magnetometer survey of site on proposed route of Poringland to Whitlingham Rising Main pipeline (Field 15).
This survey identified a single east-to-west aligned linear anomaly. This was regarded as being most likely geological in origin but this seems to be unduly dismissive – it may well represent an infilled field boundary ditch.
Various dipolar responses were probably caused by ferrous material on or close to the surface, most likely modern debris.
Information from draft report. Final version awaited.
