Summary

A watching brief maintained during the removal of historical dredgings from this section of the river bank in 2013 recorded no archaeologically-significant features or deposits. There was no trace of the Roman road that crossed the River Nar at this location (NHER 3697), although care had been taken to minimise soil disturbance in its vicinity.

Monitoring of groundworks undertaken as part of the River Nar Restoration Project.
No archaeologically-significant remains were noted during the removal of historical dredgings from this section of the river bank. There was no trace of the Roman road that crossed this section of the river (NHER 3697), although particular care had been taken to minimise soil disturbance at this location.
No finds were recovered.
