Summary

Earthwork sections of bank and associated ditch, which may relate to a section of Roman Road, are visible on visualised lidar data from a survey flown in 2021. The earthworks are likely associated with the Roman road recorded more broadly as NHER 52298. The features are also on the same alignment as further individual sections of Roman road (associated with NHER 52298) recorded as low earthworks and cropmarks immediately to the south (NHER 53217). It is also possible that the ditch feature may relate to modern boundary rather than a section of Roman road.
