Summary

Probable sections of a medieval moat are visible as earthworks on visualised lidar data from a survey flown in 2021. The sections of moat are also recorded on the Ordnance Survey First Edition 6-inch map. It is also possible that some of the earthworks interpreted as being sections of a moat could relate to post medieval ponds and post medieval to modern drains. A 17th century timber framed farmhouse (NHER 45822) is situated within the internal area of the probable moat.
