Full Description
January-February 2025. Systematic Fieldwalking and Metal-detecting Survey.
Field survey on proposed route of onshore cable for Norfolk Vanguard and Boreas Offshore Wind Farms (Field 142).
No significant concentrations of material were identified. Finds recovered included:
1 prehistoric retouched flint flake, 2 cores, 1 blade-like flake and 1 flake.
7 undated copper alloy unidentified objects, 3 lead unidentified objects, 5 pieces of lead waste, a lead weight and piece of iron slag.
Saxon/medieval pin.
2 medieval coins.
1 ?medieval pottery sherd.
2 medieval/post-medieval buckles, a mount and copper alloy vessel foot.
2 post-medieval coins, 1 pottery sherd, buckle, crotal bell and lead musket ball.
Post-medieval/modern button, domed furniture stud, spoon, mount, copper alloy rope binding, copper alloy vessel fragment and lead cloth or feedbag seal.
