Summary

A seemingly intact World War Two spigot mortar pedestal was noted at this location in 2026. As only the top of the pedestal was visible it is unclear if any other elements of the emplacement survive.

January 2026. Casual Observation.
Previously unrecorded World War Two spigot mortar pedestal noted by member of the public [1] adjacent to footpath at TL 86729 84029.
At present only the well-preserved stainless steel spindle and the top of the reinforced concrete pedestal are visible, so it is unclear whether any other elements of the emplacement survive.
