Full Description
This building had apparently functioned as the main store building for RAF Horsham St Faith (NHER 8137).
October 2017. Photographic Survey.
Survey of former main store building ahead of its planned demolition.
At the time of the survey the building was in a very overgrown and rundown condition.
This single-story building has a flat roof and crittal windows with a double-height tower and access door to the south. There is a double-height small loading bay to the south and another loading area centrally to the north which has three openings from a raised platform.
It appears to have been constructed primarily from shuttered concrete with some brickwork internally (support pillars, internal walls etc.). There is some banded concrete detailing above the plinth and below the cornice.
There are two large spaces internally to the east and west with an interconnecting corridor which leads into smaller rooms in the centre of the building.
See report (S1) for further details.
P. Watkins (HES), 16 February 2026.
Recent aerial imagery shows this building to have been demolished at some time between 2019 and 2021.
