NHER 66077 (Monument record) - Undated possible pit and post-medieval ditches

Magnetometer survey of site on proposed route of onshore cable for Norfolk Vanguard and Boreas Offshore Wind Farms (Area F304).
This survey identified little of potential archaeological interest. Although two linear anomalies are likely to represent infilled ditches, both appear to correspond with former field boundaries shown on the Scarning Tithe map (S1). The other linear responses recorded are all thought to be the result of recent agricultural activity, while the majority of the discrete anomalies are probably natural in origin. Scattered discrete dipolar 'spikes' and areas of magnetic disturbance at the margins of the field were probably caused by ferrous material on or close to the surface, most likely modern debris.

The two trenches excavated at this location revealed only an undated possible pit or natural feature. No finds were recovered.
