Summary

In 1958 a medieval well and pottery sherds were found on these premises. Later, during extensions to the shop here a number of undated pits were discovered but there were no associated artefacts.

Medieval pottery, well.

1972.
Extension to Jarrolds store revealed pits etc. but not material, despite proximity to Pottergate kiln areas.
Site to east and west Jarrolds and Garlands both produced considerable quantities of Late Saxon and later materials.
No finds.
