An evaluation excavation in advance of development work in 1991 found medieval and post medieval pits and pottery fragments and evidence of medieval animal carcass processing.

June 1991. Trial Trenching.
Three trenches excavated, each measuring 3.5m by 3.5m.
Features dating 15th to 17th century, with pottery and bone.
Up to 2.5m of stratification, some waterlogged.
Contexts 1 to 77 inclusive used.
