Summary

Archaeological excavations of this street front site in 1991 uncovered a medieval yard and well along with post medieval vaulting. Late Saxon pottery and a medieval inhumation were also recorded. This evidence suggested an 11th century foundation date for the nearby All Saints' Church. Further archaeological investigations in 1992 revealed that No. 37 sat upon a post medieval cellar and that No. 39 had been rebuilt in the 19th century.
