Summary

Metal detecting has recovered a wide range of metal objects dating from the Roman to the post medieval period. These include a Roman copper alloy coin, a medieval arrowhead, medieval and post medieval coins, and an early medieval copper alloy buckle.

6 September 1988. Metal detecting. On stubble field belonging to Grange Farm.
Two medieval groats.
See press cutting (S1).

November 1988. Metal detecting,. East of farm track.
Roman coin, medieval to post medieval coins and metalwork.
