January 1989. Recovered from gravel washer processing material from Atlas pits at Ellingham and Gillingham, so could be from either site.
Tanged iron weapon?. 445mm long. Blade maximum width 27mm tapering to point. Prominent strengthening rib along one side, other side flat. Possibly Civil War period?
