1987. Stray Find.
Found on surface of field:
1 Palaeolithic broken flint handaxe. 7 cm long, probably 8 cm prior to break, which is not a recent one. Pointed/cordate form. Only slightly rolled but very abraded on some of the ridges. Stained and lustrous.
Identified and compiled by J. Wymer (NAU), 3 January 1990.
Described on (S1), which also has a sketch of the handaxe.
This find is also noted in (S2) and (S3), although no additional information is given.
