Summary

This World War air raid shelter is a long brick building with a concrete slab roof. There is a slit window to the north and a door to the east. It is now used as a bottle store and a bus shelter has been attached to the west end.

World War Two. Long brick building with concrete slab roof end on to road adjacent to Swann Inn. Slit window to north, door to road to east. Bus shelter attached on west. Used as bottle store.

A surviving World War Two air raid shelter is visible on aerial photographs (S3-S4). It is rectangular in plan with a flat concrete roof. The grid reference for this structure has been corrected from TG 3395 1765 to TG 3397 1765.
