January 1993. Metal detecting.
Lovely late medieval bronze harness pendant, gilded with quatrefoil-shaped frame and suspended within it a quatrefoil with a central stud (decorative). This would 'swing' within the frame. Frame has pierced lug at top for suspension.
Compare with examples in NCM and Musee de Cluny, Paris.
