Hoard I - a probable forger's hoard consisting of a wide range of components, all of which are either ingredients in the manufacture of radiate imitation coins, or imitations themselves.
Found in October 2004:
31 radiate minims dating to 269 to 284, with cut fragment of denarius of AD 164 to 169.
Found between November 2004 and May:
32 additional coins from hoard, including three more fragments of silver denarii that would have provided the silver content present in the radiate imitations.
Found 17 October 2005:
25 additional coins from hoard and one molten blob.

Found in small area:
Hoard of ten 2nd-century sestertii and two 3rd-century bracelets (S4) (S5). The coins were heavily worn and it is likely that both these and the bracelets were intended for melting down to produce radiate imitations.
Declared Treasure 4 November 2005.
Other objects found on the same date include:
23 Roman coins (including 3 cut denarii, plus additional coins from Hoard I - see above), brooches, a finger ring, openwork handle of razor or knife, ring handle from furniture and copper alloy hairpin.
