Summary

Fieldwalking at the location in 1994 and subsequent metal-detecting between 2010 and 2013 recovered Roman and Late Saxon pottery sherds; undatable copper alloy casting waste; Roman coins; post-medieval jettons and a range of other, Roman to post-medieval and undated metal objects. These metal finds include Roman brooches, a pair of tweezers and probable mirror fragment; a Roman/Early Saxon strap end; a Late Saxon bridle-bit link; medieval to post-medieval dress accessories and a medieval/post-post-medieval probable writing lead.

Early 1994. Field containing ring ditch NHER 16540.
Whole field detected. No significant metal finds but scatter of sherds over northern two thirds - not systematically fieldwalked.
Roman grey Nar valley type three jar rims, one dish bowl rim, one body sherd.
One base East Anglian colour coated beaker (Roman).
One rim Thetford type jar (Late Saxon).
One body sherd probable Thetford type largish vessel (Late Saxon).
