Full Description
July/August 1994.
Head (sides missing) and most of bow of Early Saxon cruciform brooch. 'Vs' and double half-annular stamps on head. Broken single pin-lug. Stains of iron spring.
16th century finger ring with cast decoration. Distorted.

2004. Metal detecting.
[1] reports seeing an uninscribed stater found on metal detecting rally organised by [2] and hearing rumours of another one being found at the same time and place, along with an Iron Age silver unit. These finds may accord with another rumour reported by [1], that an Iron Age silver coin was found near Filby church in the 1980s.
