Full Description
1996. Moated enclosure first identified as possiblity by [1].
Visit confirmed a circa 30m x 40m platform with very shallow depression to east and south with substantial western arm 8m wide and 1m+ deep. Northwest corner may be obliterated by drainage ditch aligned northeast to southwest.
West half wooded, east half in grass.
Pottery found on platform, west edge.
Two medieval unglazed.
One early medieval unglazed with fine white inclusions, compares with examples from Yarmouth.
One medieval glazed.
One Glazed Grimston.

October 2004. Visit.
Identification proved difficult at first visit but dimensions now established as seen by B. Cushion (NLA) in 1996.
West arm survives 8m wide, with depressions to east and south in grassland. Ditch dry and wooded. Owner confirms that field to east was ploughed up till 1987 when previously whole site was in woodland.

Two medieval sherds and fragment of medieval roof tile found in edge of cleaned ditch.
