Full Description
1997. Field behind village hall (to become village green). Casual finds whilst walking dog, mostly in west part of field, early December 1997, imperfect conditions for seeing sherds.
Two flint flakes.
One body sherd Iron Age flint gritted.
One body sherd Thetford type.
Five medieval unglazed body sherds.
One Glazed Grimston body sherd.
One micaceous, refired part oxidised, ?Roman greyware.
Post medieval sherds.

April/May 1998. Further collection from whole area.
One Iron Age gritty body sherd.
One base and nine body sherds medieval unglazed.
One fragment medieval roofing tile.
Miscellaneous post medieval sherds.
One area, about 25m across, at centre TF 9475 0215 is a concentration (in which some of the above sherds were found).
Two body sherds Roman greyware.
One Roman greyware or Thetford-type body sherd.
One jar, one bowl rim and fourteen body sherds medieval unglazed.
One body sherd Glazed Grimston.
One fragment medieval roofing tile.
