Summary

A 16th century timber framed house, with 17th century alterations. The house was originally a hall house, with upper floors inserted at a later date.

16th century timber framed wattle and daub house, rendered; plain tiles 1 syorey and attic three bays plus chimney. Originally a hall house, with inserted floor.
One bay and stack are 17th century addition.
External stack on bay 3 also, now within later addition.
Interior has large fireplaces; bay 1 has stops to bridging beam and wallplate; additional bay has reused timber framing; straight braces, cambered sole plate, ogee stepped tiebeam, reused ceiling timber with diamond mullion mortises.
(S1) is not at all clear as to whether these features are all in the 'additional' bay or generally scattered.
Attic with stud partitions, collars and butt purlins; arched braces to central tie.
