Full Description
About 1950-1980. Found by grandfather of [1] somewhere in this area and placed by him in a rockery at Dersingham from where it was retrieved by [2].
Half base of mortar of highly fossiliferous shelly limestone, 22.5cm (9 inches) across by 12.5 cm (5 inches) wide (original therefore around 25cm (10inches)) with projecting lug of one inch which rises from a raised band around the base. Similar to mortars of shelly limestone?Quarr stone discussed in (S1) some of which come from this area.
