Summary

A series of pits and post holes have been excavated at this site by the Norfolk Archaeological Unit. A few have contained material of prehistoric date and one contained a sherd of medieval pottery.

Recorded one posthole and five pits, one with a prehistoric flint and another with burnt animal bone.

October 2003. Watching Brief
Monitoring of next phase of topsoil stripping at Shrublands Quarry. Contexts 20-41.
Five pits, a ditch and a solution hole were excavated. One of the pits produced a medieval pottery sherd and another contained a piece of burnt flint. The fills of a solution hollow produced a piece of post medieval tile.
