Summary

Metal detecting has recovered a wide range of finds dating from the Iron Age to the post medieval period. These include an Iron Age brooch, medieval buckles, a medieval trade weight with a lion rampant, medieval seal matrices, and three post medieval bells. Roman, medieval and post medieval coins have also been found.

Full Description

March 2002. Metal detecting. Same field as NHER 17216.
Iron Age copper alloy La Tene III type brooch, four coils, internal chord below shallow arched bow, plain with oval section, damaged catch-plate, 10 x 48mm.
Identified by S. J. Ashley (NLA).
