Summary

Metal-detecting between 2003 and 2024 recovered Early Neolithic and Neolithic/Bronze Age worked flints; Roman, medieval and post-medieval pottery sherds; Late Iron Age, Roman, medieval and post-medieval coins; probable Roman coin blanks; medieval and post-medieval jettons and a number of other, undated and Bronze Age to post-medieval metal objects. These metal finds included undated lead weights; a Middle/Late Bronze Age palstave; Roman brooches, terrets, a finger ring, military buckle, slide key and furniture stud; a Late Saxon stirrup terminal; a Late Saxon to post-medieval lead spindle whorl; medieval and post-medieval dress accessories; a medieval harness mount, rotary key, purse frame, coin weight, lead pot mends, lead weight and lead seal matrix; a medieval/post-medieval probable purse bar fragment, coin weight, monumental brass fragment, writing lead, cast copper alloy cauldron fragments, copper alloy nail and lead weight and post-medieval sword-belt fitting, a spur attachment, furniture mount, key, candlestick, copper alloy seal matrix, copper alloy cooking vessel fragment, lead shot and lead cloth seal.
