Summary

Metal detecting has recovered a variety of finds dating from the Roman to the post medieval period. These include a Roman coin, a possible Late Saxon strap end decorated with an animal head, medieval copper alloy loops used on leather straps, a medieval key, a post medieval thimble and part of a post medieval gilt horse harness mount. A French medieval jetton and a post medieval Russian silver coin and a medieval or post medieval Spanish coin weight were also found.
