Summary

Marked on a late 18th century map, this is a very deep post medieval hollow way, leading from Collins Green down to the Easthaugh Road. Various local legends surround it and also the glacial erratic stone NHER 3057 which stands beside it.

The Grove or King's Grove.
A very deep Hollow Way leading from Collen/Collins Green down to Easthaugh Road. Faden's map (S1) depicts this as a road. Local legends include headless horses, and a battle here between King Edmund and the Danes. Other legends are attached to the stone (glacial erratic) NHER 3057 beside the hollow way.
