Notes detailing the provenence of two urns from 'Pensthorpe': an Early Saxon biconical urn held in the British Museum (Accession No.: 1853,1029.2) and a plain Early Saxon urn, possibly presented to the Society of antiquaries of london in March 1859. 'Pensthorpe' likely refers to the Early Saxon cemetery NHER 44367, previously recorded under NHER 1050. The author of the note is unknown but it may have been R. R. Clarke.
