Summary

This is the site of a post medieval windmill marked on a map of 1836. It was a post mill and was last used in 1922 and dismantled in 1924. The mill and roundhouse were demolished but the crosstrees and opened supports still survive as extant structures and are visible on aerial photographs from 2024.

It would appear that the mill and roundhouse were demolished, but the cross trees and opend supports were left on site.

The crosstrees and opened supports still survive as extant structures and are visible on aerial photographs from 2024 (S2).
The mapping for the site has been updated from a point location to the current monument polygon extent.
