Cropmarks of part of a medieval to early post medieval road are visible on aerial photographs (S2-S3). Cropmarks of a compacted or metalled road surface and parallel roadside ditches are present on a north-west to south-east alignment. Their position and alignment correspond with a road shown on Faden’s 1797 county map (S1). It is possible that the road is of medieval to early post medieval date.
