Full Description
Dr J. Allen (Reading University) notes the presence of reused Roman stone similar to that of which Reedham church is built. He notes a few pieces in the nave.
E. Rose (NLA), 18 October 2001.
This small church dates mainly to the medieval period although it has an earlier, possibly Norman, round tower. The interior is mostly Victorian reproduction of medieval style but the window in the south wall of the chancel is an excellent example of elegant Early English style architecture.
See (S1) historical notes in file.
E. Rose (NLA), 28 June 2002.
