Full Description
1934. Stray Find.
Found somewhere on land of Ditchingham Hall Farm:
1 prehistoric flint axehead. Donated to Norwich Castle Museum (NWHCM : 1934.114). Information from (S1). The precise location of this discovery is not recorded. The farm buildings associated with Ditchingham Hall Farm (now known as Old Hall Farm) are located at TM 3259 9215.
This object was originally recorded as potentially Neolithic and was listed in (S2). This object is however recorded as Mesolithic in R. Jacobi's records (S3). It is described as having a tranchet blow on one face.
