Summary

During the mid 19th century at least two Early Saxon cremation urns and Early Saxon pottery sherds were found on Broome Heath. They suggest the presence of a cremation cemetery. Unfortunately, the exact location and nature of their discovery is uncertain.

"B.B. Woodward esq. exhibited three rude Urns, said to be of the Anglo-Saxon period, found on Broom Heath, Norfolk".
