Summary

This church consists of a slender unbuttressed west tower, nave, chancel and south porch. The building is mainly 14th and 15th century, but was heavily though carefully restored in the 19th century, including the rendering over of the nave and chancel. Some older features remain, including shields, animal heads and gargoyles on the tower, the original timber roof frame on the south porch and a small sundial over its entrance and a fine though much worn 18th century wall tablet on the south chancel wall. The interior of the church was redecorated from 1862 in High Victorian Gothic style, and is a fine example. The 14th century decorated font survives, as does part of the restored 14th century piscina. There are also a number of good brasses, wall monuments and tablets.
