Summary

Workmen cutting drains in 1964 discovered a late 18th to early 19th century brick kiln site. Although too little was exposed to determine the plan or size of the structure, the kiln was thought to have only one chamber. There was much debris of brick and tile surrounding the structure.

1964. In cutting land drains workmen cut through late 18th to early 19th century brick kiln site. [1]
Too little was exposed to determine plan or size of structure but kiln probably of one chamber only. Kiln arch seen. Much debris around.
Bricks and tiles gone to NCM. [2]
