Summary

Extensive metal detecting at this location during the period 1993-2001 has recovered a wealth of metal objects dating to a variety of archaeological periods. Finds of interest comprise a Mesolithic/Neolithic blade, a Late Iron Age linch pin, a Roman figurine of a cockerel, a medieval seal matrix with a seven-pointed flower in the centre and a particularly fine post medieval buckle.
