Summary

This 17th century great house is now used as a school. It is constructed of whitewashed brick with a slate roof and a moulded brick string course running between the floors. The chimney stack is a 19th century addition, as is the two storey extension to the rear of the building.

Late 17th century (see (S1)) but listing says it dates to around 1700. Whitewashed brick, slate roof, two storeys and attic. Seven bays, centre three rebated. Additional early 18th century bay to left. Brick plinth. Central door behind 20th century greenhouse. Moulded brick string course between floors. Sash windows. Central returned parapet with panels between shaped gables of flanking bays. Gables with string course and sash windows. Gable roof, central dormer. Large 19th century ridge stack. Rear also has shaped gables and two storey late 19th century addition.
