Summary

A prehistoric stone perforated object, probably a macehead, found in 1958. If indeed a macehead, these objects are not closely datable, being produced from the Mesolithic through into the later prehistoric periods.

March 1958. Stray Find.
1 prehistoric perforated quartzite object. Donated to Norwich Castle Museum (NWHCM : 1959.417). Information from (S1). Although described as an axehead by (S1), both the museum's accession records and an early record map list this object as a macehead. These objects are not closely datable having been found within both Mesolithic and later prehistoric contexts.
