Summary

Site of a windmill shown on a map dating from the 17th century. In 1840 a postmill from NHER 12459 was re-erected on this site, but was dismantled in 1954.

Windmill.
In 1840 the body of post mill NHER 12459 at Hingham was brought here and erected on a cut down tower; dismantled 1954. Tower remains with engine driven stones.

The tower that was cut down must be that shown on a fragmentary map kept at The Priory, Banham (said to be duplicate of one in NRO) undated but apparently 17th century.
