Summary

Nos 3 to 11 dated to the late 16th century and No. 13 dated to about 1800. The buildings were all demolished in 1973. Fragments of medieval pottery were found in cable trenches excavated on this site in 1974.

Nos. 3 to 11 were late 16th century, no.13 of 1800.
Survey of footings in KLM. Drawings, photo's made.

29 April 1974. Stray finds in 0.55m deep cable trench running along site of rear of these buildings (new flats now against street frontage):
Medieval sherds - 2 jug bodysherds, 1 strap handle, 1 tubular spout 8cm long - all glazed Grimston.
Also Yorkshire handle sherd, circular section, ribbing on upper face.
